Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston
Seeking a Friend (21+) for Yasamin, a woman in her 20s who has a developmental disability and is working hard to develop skills and increase her independence. Yasamin’s friends describe her as immensely thoughtful and caring, and she sees herself as a "girly girl" who enjoys shopping, getting her nails done, going to the beach, watching movies, and going to concerts! Yasamin also hopes for a Friend with whom she can go out for coffee and frozen yogurt.
Yasamin could benefit from having a Friend in her 30s who has a car, as she would need to be picked up and dropped off for activities when social distancing ends. Matches meet once or twice a month for a year, and our amazing Clinical Match Specialists will provide match support to help your friendship succeed!
Be a part of the JBBBS family and make a huge impact on Yasamin’s life. Jewish and non-Jewish volunteers welcome and no experience working with people with disabilities required.
