- Assist to create a safe and supportive atmosphere
- Listen to victim’s stories and offer support
- Help them find clarity
- Show them that they can explore alternative solutions
- Allow the victim to choose her next step
- Provide a predictable and stable experience
- Guarantee support for all members
- Be aware of the whole group and each individual
- Help each victim recognize her own coping skills
Responsibilities
- Have an overall understanding of Domestic Abuse
- Oversee the meeting and maintain the flow of dialogue
- Refer to community resources as appropriate
- Set boundaries for yourself
