Volunteer Drivers:
As a Driver, your goal is to safely pick up and transport riders to their appointments, or other errands and return them to their homes.
We have an online, easy to use ride booking application so you can set your own schedule and find what rides are suitable for you to give. You use your own vehicle to transport, we do not allow any cash handling by our drivers for our drivers safety, we will assist in a brief training to ensure your comfort level and we're always here when you need us.
KerrKonnect services a 10 mile radius from the Kerr County Courthouse.
Volunteer Office Staff:
Working in the KerrKonnect office you can expect the occasional volunteer Driver drop in, a few calls per hour to book rides in the Hill Country and light office work.
Office Volunteers must be comfortable with phone conversation, familiar with office equipment and have computer and online experience. Our office shifts are from 9a-1p & 1p-5p, Mon.-Fri., no weekends.

Mission Statement
Kerr Konnect Transit System provides residents of The Hill Country, safe, affordable and reliable transportation. We want to help maintain our citizens' independence and enhance quality of life.
Description
Kerr Konnect was organized in 2018 and is a volunteer centered non-profit. We currently provide up to 75 rides per week, 12-15 per day, Monday-Friday.
During Covid-19 we have instituted safety policies and provided vehicle sanitation and supplies to aid our Drivers. The majority of riders are 55 years old or better and our top destinations are grocery stores, medical appointments and salons. We started offering grocery and pharmacy pick-up so that our "at risk" riders would have limited public exposure. We have also entered a combined effort with a local food bank (Mustard Seed Ministries), to deliver boxed groceries to families in need during the pandemic.
KerrKonnect is thankful to have the support of The City of Kerrville, Peterson Medical (Hospital), The Cailloux Foundation, HEB #Texanshelpingtexans and many other benevolent supporters.
VOLUNTEERS are #1 and make KerrKonnect possible. Our office Volunteers have office equipment knowledge, phone and computer skills that help our Drivers schedule pick-ups and deliver our riders safely in Kerr County. Our Volunteer Driver's goal is to safely pick up and transport riders to their appointments, or other errands and return them to their homes. Drivers set their own schedule and use their own vehicle; there is no cash handling, we will train you and we carry additional insurance for our Drivers. KerrKonnect currently services a 10 mile radius from the Kerr County Courthouse.
