Preferred Hospice of Ozark, Missouri has patients that are currently residing in local long term care facilities that are in need of companionship and support through cards, letters, and other means of well wishes. While visitors are not permitted in the facilities, patients still love to receive cards and letters of well wishes and kind words. If you are interested, please contact me today so we can discuss this opportunity further. Volunteers will need to be from the surrounding Springfield and Ozark, MO area. We have a short application process and training and following completion of that, you will be free to volunteer in the comfort and safety of your own home. Description
Preferred Hospice is a Missouri-based company comprised of a multidisciplinary team of Healthcare workers who specialize in end-of-life care. Among the senior team are Physician and Nurses who together bring over 50 years of Healthcare experience. We serve patients within an hour radius of our home office in Ozark Missouri.
Volunteers are essential to the Preferred Hospice Team. Direct Patient Volunteers provide companionship to patients while offering emotional support and comfort. Direct Patient Volunteers may also provide respite and assistance to patient caregivers. Office and Administrative Volunteers assist the office staff with many things from mail outs to data entry. Training, education, and mileage reimbursement is provided.
