Rainbows for All Children is an international, nonprofit organization that trains volunteers at community-based sites to lead structured, age-specific, support groups for children 3-18 years old who are grieving the loss of a family member as a result of death, separation/divorce, incarceration, deployment, deportation, significant illness, or any other traumatic, life-altering event. Since 1983, we have served over 3.5 million children by providing them support and helping them to develop problem-solving and coping skills, learn anger and stress management, alleviate depression and anxiety, and reduce emotional pain and suffering.
Rainbows for all Children is seeking to expand its Board of Directors by bringing on a diverse group of new members. New members will join an already committed, dedicated and professional governing board. The Board of Directors is responsible for supporting the mission of Rainbows for all Children and for raising funds necessary to carry out key programs and activities. The Board also sets policy, provides leadership and is accountable for fiscal and strategic oversight. As enthusiastic ambassadors of the organization, board members are committed to using their diverse experiences and skills to support its positive growth.

Rainbows for All Children (Rainbows) is dedicated to being the premier source of support for all youth as they navigate grief and heal from loss, whether from death, divorce, deployment, or other trauma. Rainbows fosters awareness that youth require support to heal. We nurture a community of effective Rainbows-trained Facilitators, supported with a repository of resources designed to guide youth in their grieving process.
Description
Rainbows for All Children Inc. is an international nonprofit 501(c)3 charity which assists children who are grieving a death, divorce, or other life-altering crisis.
Rainbows offers training and curricula to establish peer support groups in schools, faith communities, and community centers at no cost to participants or their families. These support groups provide grieving children with an opportunity to share their experiences in a structured environment and begin the healing process.
