We have been provided with a rural property of 65+ acres in mid Missouri to be developed into an animal rescue and sanctuary. This will require a committed and capable animal welfare project team to evaluate, plan, fundraise, and staff an extensive cleanup, renovation, building and fencing complex for rescuing, rehabbing, and rehoming abandoned and homeless animals. Due to the current restrictions relating to the Covid pandemic, we are reaching out to virtual volunteers who could commit to working on this wonderful long term project - collaborating with local volunteers and staff. While the actual physical work would be done locally on the property, the right people with experience and connections could plan and develop this project virtually. Please contact us if you have this type of planning, fundraising, construction or staffing experience and skills, and could help accomplish this amazing opportunity for needy animals!

Mission Statement
Our purposes at Stover Animal Rescue include: 1) to temporarily provide quality medical, daily, and rehabilitation care to needy cats and dogs until suitable permanent homes can be found; and 2) to promote, support and collaborate with all efforts to improve quality of life for animals in our local community, those served by regional advocacy groups, and those animals needing aid through worldwide rescue operations. It is our intent to meet and exceed all regulations and guidelines applicable to our nonprofit rescue organization, to constantly improve the services we provide, to promote volunteerism, to abide by fiscally responsible business practices, and to engage in appropriate fundraising efforts in order to remain financially solvent.
Description
We are a small rural 501(c)3 nonprofit NO-KILL dog and cat rescue in central Missouri. We operate solely with the help of volunteers and public donations - rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding good homes for dogs and cats. Working with local schools, our community, and help from many individuals with similar interests, we strive to promote kindness and compassion in our world.
