Community Pet Project provides assistance to the homeless and economically at-risk citizens of Hillsborough County, Florida to enable them to keep their pets. During the COVID pandemic we have seen a major uptick in requests for pet food so we make home deliveries on weekends. We are looking for someone VERY detail-oriented to set up the routes for those deliveries each week. Requests for food are cut off at noon on Wednesday for the upcoming weekend's deliveries. The Route Coordinator will create route sheets for each route and send out a notice to our delivery team as to how many routes there are, where they are located (in Hillsborough County), and how many stops each route has. In order for the orders to be filled and checked before the weekend, the route sheets must be completed on Wednesday afternoon and emailed to the Team Lead no later than Wednesday night.

About COMMUNITY PET PROJECT INC

Location:

Mission Statement

We believe that loving our pets is not defined by socioeconomic status and that, for some people, pets are their only lifeline. Therefore, our mission is to help homeless and economically individuals and families in Hillsborough County with the basic needs (food, treats, bowls, collars, leashes, beds, etc.) for their pets to enable them to keep them. We also assist with medical expenses.

Description

We rely entirely on donations, so most of our efforts are directed at holding fundraising events throughout the year. We participate in the quarterly homeless outreach events coordinated by the area law enforcement agencies. Throughout the year we provide individuals and families with deliveries of the basic necessities and financial assistance with medical needs. We have partnerships with a number of veterinary clinics and boarding facilities. Although our efforts are directed at pets, we also work with their owners to put them in touch with organizations that will provide them with the services they need.
