Seeking a friend for Karen, a 33-year-old woman from Framingham with a wide variety of passions and interests. She loves animals, and enjoys going to farms, zoos, and pet stores. Karen also loves horseback riding, getting manicures, going shopping, and playing games. Karen currently attends a day program in Needham and lives in a group home in Framingham. She would like to be matched with a woman in her 30s who has access to a car and can pick her up in Needham/Framingham. Karen has Prader-Willi Syndrome, and her volunteer will receive information on this and how it impacts Karen’s eating. Karen can be shy at first but warms up to new people with her great sense of humor and ability to connect one-on-one.
Looking for a friend (21+) who could meet Karen once or twice a month for a year. Contact is currently virtual but will transition back to in-person meetings when safe and allowed.
