Do you love farmers markets? Love the local food scene? We are a June through October outdoor farmers market. We need a volunteer to assist us with putting together a new monthly e-newsletter with Constant Contact. Preferably someone local to Lincoln Park, MI but not necessary.
We primarily need help from you at determining and setting up the layout of the e-newsletter in Constant Contact that will be used month after month. Our goal is to grow our email list to attract donors and customers via the monthly e-newsletter. Once the layout is determined, if you are interested, we'd love to have you assist us at keeping our community informed of what’s happening with LINCOLN PARK FARMERS MARKET to share in the monthly e-newsletter by determining and/or writing the copy.
This role is a very flexible 8-10 hours a month.

Mission Statement
LINCOLN PARK FARMERS MARKET is a seasonal market focusing on locally grown fruits and vegetables, locally made specialty foods as well as and locally made arts and crafts. Our mission is, "To educate the community about healthy, locally grown food, and promoting good health." Our objective is Michigan grown/Michigan made by the farmer, vendor, and crafter. With the emphasis on organic foods, the advantage of a local farmer market is that one can talk to the farmer who raised the foods that they are to take home and eat.
Description
LINCOLN PARK FARMERS MARKET, coordinated by FRIENDS OF LINCOLN PARK FARMERS MARKET, is a volunteer based weekly Sunday farmers market with farmers with produce and plants as well as specialty food vendors and crafters. The market hours are 11 am - 3 pm, June - October, with a special late November holiday market. The location is the parking lot at vacant lot of "Mellus Park", 1661 Fort Street, between Arlington & O'Connor, Lincoln Park, Michigan.
