BagsHalfFull is a community initiative founded by two medical students from University of Alberta to assist the vulnerable population with groceries. With its expansion across other parts of Canada, we are currently expanding into the Greater Vancouver Area. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in making a meaningful change in our communities during these tough times. Our goal is to bridge the gap in accessibilities and promote a healthy, and safe environment for our communities.
Volunteers would help with grocery shopping, pickups and/or deliveries .
We are aiming to start our program in the Vancouver region.
-Volunteers will be added to a Whatsapp community - Whatsapp will be required.
-Volunteer individuals are preferred to have their own vehicles (not necessary) - should be mobile towards local grocery stores and designated delivery locations.
-Background checks are required.

The aims of our initiatives are to offer grocery shopping, pickups, or delivery through a contact-less manner for the vulnerable populations of our community.
Description
We are Bag-Half-Full a food delivery services currently serving various provinces across Canada. Our initiative began with two medical students at the University of Alberta who recognized the need for grocery delivery for vulnerable populations in their community. Currently, we are pushing Bag-Half-Full into the Greater Vancouver Regions.
We offer two services:
- You can place an online order at a grocery store of your choosing. We will retrieve your order, and deliver the groceries to your home.
- You can provide us with a list of your groceries (please also indicate the quantity of each item), we will shop for you, and deliver the groceries to your home. For this option, we will send you the receipt of your grocery run and will require payment before we deliver.
Both of these services are provided at NO cost to you. You just pay for the cost of your groceries!
