The Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America, St. Louis Chapter is holding its annual Trivia Night on November 14, 2020! Last year's event was a massive success and we'll be looking to build on that and have an even bigger event this year.
We will need an awesome team of volunteers to help with set up during the day, various tasks running the event, and tearing down afterwards. We hosted 400 people at last year's Nerd Nite comic-con themed event. We are still creating this year's theme, but we hope to have 500 people this time around!

Mission Statement
That Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, St. Louis Chapter, serves those affected by asthma and allergies through education, support and medical resources.
Description
Here in St. Louis, one in ten children deals with asthma on a daily basis. One in thirteen children take precautions with everything that goes in their mouth because they live with a food allergy. Many of the families of these children with asthma and allergies cannot afford the medicines to keep them healthy and safe. As a result, children miss school, lose social interaction time with friends, and start to fall behind.
That’s where AAFA-STL steps in. AAFA-STL provides a holistic asthma management program for low income children that provides not only asthma coaching, but also prescription assistance to help families afford expensive inhalers and allergy drugs. The organization also offers Healthy Home Assessments where trained staff inspect their homes to help identify triggers and help connect families to resources to improve their overall air quality.
AAFA-STL also partners with over 280 local schools to provide school nurses with nebulizers and asthma emergency equipment. This way, when an asthma emergency creeps up at school, it can be treated right then and there instead of sending a child home or to the ER.
The organization provides free asthma, allergy, and food allergy training throughout the community to day cares, schools, medical groups, and corporate events.
All of this to ensure children are living their lives without limits.
