Hello!
We are seeking a volunteer for our Friendly Visiting Program that speaks Italian, and is willing to be matched with an male older adult in the neighborhood.
You will be a volunteer in the Friendly Visiting Program, sponsored by the New York City Department for the Aging and Lenox Hill Neighborhood House.
To sign up, we require all volunteers to provide two references, submit information, including social security number, for a criminal background check, and undergo a virtual training.
We ask that you can commit to calling the senior 1-2 times per week for phone or video chat conversations up to 1 hour.
We also ask that you be willing to report dates and length of calls once a month to the program coordinator.
Thank you for stepping up to volunteer during this challenging time!
