WE ROCK CANCER
Be a part of our exciting 2020 fall fundraiser!
All we need is a donor/partner with an open, outdoor, farm/vineyard/pasture/park space with electricity that can accommodate up to 200 people, within 20 miles of the Tysons area for a live music evening event.
We Rock Cancer’s mission is to enable early detection, foster education, and support prevention of skin cancer by providing FREE skin cancer screenings in partnership with our musical artists at live music events. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in America, and the most curable if detected early. Our organization is dedicated to our proven strategy of identifying skin cancer early so we can find it, beat it, and save lives. We could use your help to make it all happen.
Our 2nd Annual We Rock Cancer Fundraising Gala is scheduled for October 3, 2020. We are looking for a farm/vineyard/pasture/park open air venue to be donated by a FUNDRAISING EVENT VENUE DONOR PARTNER. The event features food/beverages/live music and FREE skin cancer screenings for guests and staff. We have everything other than open space, the moon and stars! Our amazing team is committed to helping others prevent and detect skin cancer, and each of us loves and respects the power of music. Our community is clearly excited and eager to see our mission continue. You can be a part of that excitement with an Event Venue Partnership with We Rock Cancer.

Mission Statement
We Rock Cancer (www.werockcancer.org, social: @werockcancer) WRC is a Veteran Founded 501(c)(3) that provides FREE Skin Cancer Screenings at live music events and FREE mobile screenings for at-risk workers with limited access to health care. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in America. Over one million new cases are expected worldwide this year. It is also the most curable - with early detection. Yet, in a busy life schedule, getting a Skin Cancer Screening is often treated as a low priority. We Rock Cancer’s mission is to change that. As one of our first dermatologist partners observed, "You guys have found a way to make skin cancer screenings cool!" Together with our musical artist and dermatologist partners, we raise awareness for prevention and enable early detection of skin cancer. Through our education, prevention, and early detection efforts, we aim to reduce the prevalence of skin cancer in these vulnerable populations and increase survivability.
Description
Whether you enjoy developing relationships with donors or working live music events, we need you. If you prefer to analyze data, gather digital information, coordinate medical mission activities, create and market our messages, we also need you on one of our teams:
- - Our Financial Resources Development Team obtains and manages the funding that is essential to our mission. This team will manage our existing donor base and further develop relationships with corporate and individual donors, as well as grant funding organizations. This team focuses on the following finance related areas: grant writing, corporate social responsibility and corporate giving development, research data analysis, and event specific fundraising.
- Our Health Care Mission Team coordinates our dermatologists’ participation and organizes the screening process at our screening events. They coordinate with medical sponsors, shape our medical mission information, and support the Chief Medical Officer and Health Care Committee Chair.
- Our Communications Team shapes our on-line and social media messaging, including art, still, and video images.
