Volunteers needed in the following counties: Autauga, Elmore, Dallas, Lowndes, Montgomery, and Perry.
Hospice volunteering is for people who have a passion for helping and want to make a difference in people’s lives. Join us and be part of something bigger than yourself.
As a direct care volunteer you may:
Provide companionship to our patients
Assist in making crafts with our patients
Help patients with a life review
Provide respite for caregivers
Run errands for patients such as grocery shopping, etc.
Assist in the provision of bereavement support
Requirements:
Must be 16 years or older
Complete 6-10 hours of training
Pass a criminal background check
Complete a TB skin Test
Provide a copy of your auto insurance
*AseraCare will cover the costs of all training and required screens.
