The Translational Pain Research Group at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital is seeking volunteers who have postherpetic neuralgia (pain following shingles) to participate in a research study.
Volunteers who qualify for the study will be reimbursed for their time.

Mission Statement
The Translational Pain Research Program advances and accelerates the identification of new treatments to bring relief to and improve the lives of patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions.
Description
The primary goal of our ongoing research is to improve pain management, by determining the mechanisms that cause different types of pain and systematically evaluating new drugs that selectively improve the different components of pain conditions. Overall, our goal is to relieve each person's pain experience, which we hope will ultimately improve quality of life.
