Bigs (adult volunteers) spend time with Littles (children ages 7-18) 2-4 times a month and build a friendship through a variety of activities such as playing games, getting ice cream, sharing a hobby, or just hanging out and talking. Each match is unique and develops a schedule that works for them. Bigs are asked to commit to at least one year with their Little when they enroll to be a volunteer in the Community Based Program.
The enrollment process for volunteers can be summarized in four steps: an interview, reference checks, background checks, and one online training to prepare you for your match with BBBSLV.
