Support Military Families: Family Follow-Up Volunteer NEEDED!

Family Follow-up volunteers will support and assist with the full range of client services to military members, veterans and their families, including emergency communications; information and referral; access to financial assistance; and family follow-up services.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Volunteers must have strong phone and computer skills.
  • Volunteers will call family families experiencing an emergency to follow-up and check on the status of their service members and offer available community resources if needed.
  • Interview callers; coordinate requests for service to include recording all client info into the Case Management System
Time Commitment:
  • Volunteers need to commit to a recurring schedule of at least 2 hours a week on the same day each week.


Special note: This position is preferred to be in Chicago as a strong familiarity with the Chicago area is helpful, but not required). Position can be done remotely.
