The American Red Cross is active in every community of TN, and we're looking for volunteers in the Chattanooga area to coordinate the local Disaster Healthcare Teams that respond to assist families in their darkest hour. In 2019, the Red Cross assisted 1,342 families in Tennessee following a disaster.
Join us and volunteer with the Red Cross today! We work with your schedule and we will support you every step of the way. The training includes online courses on the job training. Job Description:
To provide support and assistance to individuals who are donating their time and blood at Red Cross blood drives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Disaster Health services to clients and community
- Develop DHS capacity in chapter
- Lead and manage chapter DHS team
- Coordinate DHS response to local operations
- Collaborate with other disaster functions before, during and after responses
- Support chapter preparedness efforts
- Facilitate long-term recovery
- Support other disaster responders before, during and after disaster response
Chapter Coordinators with RN or MD or DO to act as chapter health reviewer and staff wellness responder during response events
