Hello! Are you interested in addressing food insecurity and hunger in your community? Pajaro Valley Loaves and Fishes operates a kitchen and pantry program that serves over 15,000 individuals per year and is looking for a volunteer grant writer!
We are looking for a grant writer to assist us in applying for grants and corporate donations, including researching and identifying grant funding opportunities, drafting grant applications, and working closely with the executive director to accomplish this.
The ideal volunteer can commit to at least six months of continued volunteering because of the director's amount of training and development invested in the volunteer.
This position is flexible, both with hours and days of the week. We are open 9-3 PM Monday-Friday, though this volunteering role can have significant distant/virtual involvement. Volunteers with previous grant writing/ professional business writing are highly desired, along with familiarity with Watsonville and Santa Cruz County.
If you choose to volunteer at our office, we have a free lunch 11:30-1 PM. You will also grow your personal development in grant writing and fundraising.
