The St. Augustine Health Campus is in need of volunteers who can be available at our Check-in Station outside the main lobby of our nursing home (St. Augustine Manor) to ensure staff and vendors entering the building have been properly screened. We have a touchless temperature scanner (see photo) that eliminates the need for contact between volunteer and staff.
Our nursing aides have been handling this since the state mandate but they need to focus on resident care on the floors. We are looking for committed individuals who recognize the importance of protecting the elderly and vulnerable during this COVID-19 pandemic. The St. Augustine Health Campus is COVID-free and we want to keep it that way. Volunteers are needed Sunday-Saturday, for the following shifts: 8a-11a; 11a-2p; 2p-5p and 5p-8p. The 8a-11a shift is the highest priority, but we can accept volunteers for other shifts listed. Secure, off-street parking provided.

Description
St. Augustine Health Ministries is a mission-driven, faith-based, not-for-profit organization affiliated with Catholic Charities and is dedicated to providing a continuum of health care and social services within our community. Within the Health Ministries, St. Augustine Health Campus cares for the chronically ill and aging through short-term rehab, assisted living, and long-term care. The St. Augustine Child Enrichment Center provides early education and child care for 80+ children, beginning at 6 weeks through preschool. Holy Family provides home health care, residential and community-based hospice services. Emerald Village Senior Living provides independent and assisted-living apartments located in the west suburbs for active seniors 55+.
