ORGANIZATION: Herchoice Advocacy

Her Choice Advocacy is looking to expand our fundraising team.

  • Writes progress reports to individual, government and foundation funders
  • Liaisons with program staff and administrators for program information
  • Researches prospective individuals, foundations, small business and corporations interested in issues related to HCA’s mission and work.
  • Drafts and manages thank you letters and other forms of donor acknowledgement/ correspondence
  • Assists with preparation for meetings such as the Fundraising team meeting
  • Assists with making contacts related to fundraising and public relations, such as contacting other agencies for letters of support; contacting funders as needed to obtain/update information, promote HCA and secure funding
  • Maintains accuracy of records, inputs donor contacts and research, and generates regular and timely reports
  • Works with the web development team to maintain content on the university’s development website
  • Create and maintain fundraising projects

Her Choice Advocacy’s mission is to empower women who conceived through sexual assault. ​

Description

Her Choice Advocacy’s purpose is to give intellectual, moral and social instruction to society on why all women who conceived through sexual assault and the children conceived should be protected by law, have social inclusion, and be free from re-victimization.

We seek to provide supportive services, resource assistance, advocacy, social inclusion, public awareness, and campaigning for policy provisions. Further, we wish to educate professionals, advocates, legislatures, and leaders on how to articulate proper comprehensive, culturally sensitive based services and support for women who conceived from sexual assault.
