To continue our support of homeless communities during the public health concern around COVID-19, Rise of Broken Women has been distributing face-masks to homeless shelters and homeless individuals on the street. The is a critical need as New York City’s homeless shelters are breeding ground for the coronavirus given the lack of protective gear and sanitary procedures needed for people in shelters. Approximately 58,000 homeless individuals comprising of women, children and men, who seek shelter are ill and have a comprised immune system.
Rise of Broken Women is looking for in-person volunteers to support with PPE distribution to homeless individuals on the streets. Sign up to volunteer and become one of #CharleesAngels - https://riseofbrokenwomen.org/volunteer/
