Welcome ! Here at Pockets of Promise we are looking for passionate video editors/videographers who believe in our mission in providing quality education and nutrition to children in need all over the world.

We work in some of the poorest communities in India, Ghana, Uganda, and Nepal . By coming together, we can create a lasting change and fight to end illiteracy and ultimately poverty all over the world! The opportunities that we provide the children that we serve will last a lifetime and enable them to pursue their dreams and escape the burdens of poverty. Join us as we continue to boost literacy through our after-school programs, spark learning with software through our computer lab programs, fuel minds and bodies through proper nutrition, and provide much needed educational assistance and school supplies that would otherwise deprive children from their right to learn.

Our amazing team of volunteers consist of professionals and college students who lend their time and talents to better the lives of disadvantaged children in India, Ghana, Uganda, and Nepal!

Job Summary

One of the main goals of our organization is to keep our team of hardworking volunteers happy and motivated. That is why we need you, personable and enthusiastic Film Makers, who are committed to helping us produce quality videos. You will work alongside our incredible video team. If you want to play an integral role in increasing our reach, gaining more hands-on experience, and changing more lives here is your opportunity to do so.

Job Duties:

• Develop initial story concept into production feasible, fully planned project
• Reading scripts and working on its continued development
• Intercepting a script and understanding the story and narrative style
• Coordinating with videographers in the US and the countries we serve to obtain content

Time commitment:

• 5-10 hours (depends on the week)

Required:

• Knowledge regarding video production and ability to execute job duties
• Professional experience and/or degree in video production, television, film, sound, or media would be a plus
• Research content for the film, proofread, edit, and fact-check script
• Ability to deliver timely responses to team messages & showcase responsibility
• Ability to be creative & create content needed
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and with a team
• Passion for our cause
• Strong internet connection as we are a virtual team
