This opportunity takes place on Mondays and Fridays from 12-3pm.
After School Matters is finding new ways to support Chicago’s teens and their families. We have set a up a food distribution operation at The Michael & Karyn Lutz Center (3435 N Cicero Ave, Chicago, IL 60641) offering ASM families, alums, and other community members up to 3 days’ worth of meals to carry away. We provide 1,500-2,000 meals each time. The main tasks entail prepping, organizing and passing out meal packs to people in the community.
Volunteers must be comfortable working with 7-8 other people. Disposable masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes will be available. This distribution takes place outside in a garage. Please dress for the weather.

Description
After School Matters provides Chicago high school teens with high quality, out-of-school time opportunities to explore and develop their talents while gaining critical skills for work, college and beyond. Over the past two decades, more than 200,000 teens have participated in our hands-on, project-based after-school and summer programs in the arts, science, sports, technology and communications. Programs take place at locations throughout the city including Chicago public high schools, Chicago Park District and Chicago Public Library locations, community-based organizations and Downtown at the Gallery 37 Center for the Arts.
