Do you have two to three hours a week to serve as a Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care respite volunteer? This position is a way to provide support to those who have chosen to keep their loved one at home while they are receiving hospice services. These caregivers are committed to 24/7 care of their loved one which can be very demanding. Respite support is provided by sitting one-on-one with a patient to give caregivers a break. Are you comfortable with silence and/or conversation, depending upon patient's ability to interact? We are looking for calm, levelheaded people who are adaptable and able to handle emergency situations. You are not responsible for giving meds or providing any patient cares. You are a supportive presence, giving confidence to patient and caregiver. Interested? Contact us at volunteer.kc@crossroadshospice.com. For more information about Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care, check our website: Crossroadshospice.com and/or our Facebook page: facebook.com\crossroadshospice.

Description
Expect More From Us. We Do. Why not? That's a question we ask ourselves every day. In fact it is the question responsible for our beginning and has made us what we are today. Because "why not?" helps us find new and better ways to deliver hospice care to patients, families, caregivers, and health care professionals alike. It helps us connect with our communities, share our knowledge, be accessible 24/7, innovate, lead, and raise the bar. In fact "why not?" has helped us create a hospice experience we believe is second to none...and are confident you'll agree.
