Can you share a good story? Do you enjoy hearing stories about others? Do you enjoy capturing history? Our life journal program gives patients the opportunity to review their lives, tell their important stories, and celebrate their life contributions. We are looking for skilled interviewers, individuals with an "eye" for rich photography, and authors with excellent writing skills including note taking, spelling, and editing. Equally important would be computer skills, research talent, and lots of patience. Each life journal means a commitment of approximately 30 hours of volunteer time. Once the interview is completed, much of the work on the life journal can be done from your home. Interested? Then we are certainly interested in you. If you are in the Greater Kansas City area, we have four different offices from which you can work. Contact us at volunteer.kc@crossroadshospice.com. Mission Statement
Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care is committed to being at the forefront of the hospice care industry, to continually shape the way palliative care is viewed and administered so that everyone can expect more from us.
Description
Expect More From Us. We Do. Why not? That's a question we ask ourselves every day. In fact it is the question responsible for our beginning and has made us what we are today. Because "why not?" helps us find new and better ways to deliver hospice care to patients, families, caregivers, and health care professionals alike. It helps us connect with our communities, share our knowledge, be accessible 24/7, innovate, lead, and raise the bar. In fact "why not?" has helped us create a hospice experience we believe is second to none...and are confident you'll agree.
