The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those impacted by suicide.

Do you have professional skills and want to make a difference in the community? Help the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Orange County Chapter, by becoming a Fundraising Grant Writer Volunteer.

As a Grant Finder/Researcher you will assist with research and documentation relating to grants and foundations. This is a great opportunity to gain professional fundraising experience with a well-recognized and respected international organization.

Description

To fully achieve its mission, AFSP engages in the following Five Core Strategies:

  • Fund scientific research
  • Offer educational programs for professionals
  • Educate the public about mood disorders and suicide prevention
  • Promote policies and legislation that impact suicide and prevention
  • Provide programs and resources for survivors of suicide loss and people at risk, and involve them in the work of the Foundation
