Kindred Hospice is expanding its complementary therapies to provided comfort and support for our patients. We are adding Reiki to our list, and invite you to join our volunteer team.
Reiki is to be provided by individuals who are certified as a Level I, Level II or Level III (Master) Reiki Practitioner and have at least 1 year active, certified experience.
Volunteers may choose the patients they visit, schedule patient visit at times that fit their schedules while convenient for the patients. Weekly visits are preferable; however, twice a month often works well for both the volunteers and the patients.
A background check is required for all volunteers as are a urine screening drug test, fingerprinting, and TB screening (all at Kindred’s expense).
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, upcoming orientation sessions are currently on hold. If you are interested in learning more about our team and opportunities to volunteer, email and we will notify you when the next orientation is scheduled. Join our team of exceptional volunteers!
