ORGANIZATION: Front Porch Community Services

Ruth's Table is an arts nonprofit dedicated to building a more connected community through the power of creativity and intergenerational relationships, with elders at the center.

We're working with senior living communities to offer art supplies packages, creative projects, and phone-based connections to encourage our older adult participants to stay connected and engaged during this deeply isolating time.

Volunteers:
Each volunteer will be paired with an adult 60 years or older to offer phone-based personal connection, share stories, learn together, and more.

No previous creative experience is needed: only an open mind and open ears.
Volunteers will receive training and ongoing support.

Time Commitment: The goal is to form a relationship between a volunteer and participant. We ask for a minimum commitment of one 15-minute call per week for 2-3 months.

Qualifications: Background check (covered by organization); availability for a remote volunteer training (about 1 hour long).
