The Positive Alternative Recreation Teambuilding Impact (PARTI) Program is hosting a Los Angeles County youth Business Leadership Program to engage youth in leadership, community engagement, youth equity, diversity/inclusion, and socio-emotional youth development.

The program is virtual and students will event plan, promote, organize, host virtual events, and fundraise. This event is opened to all high school students entering 9th grade - 12th grade. 10 students will receive a $100 stipend for completing the summer program. ( 1 stipend per student, per school and 2 or more students who attend the same school will not be able to receive a stipend. Example John attends Valley High and the first student that was accepted from Valley High School. Eric joined the program after John and attends Valley High School, so Eric does not qualify for a stipend. 1 student, 1 school.)

We connect youth with leadership classes and volunteer opportunities that focus on addressing core youth issues which include increased self-esteem and confidence and increased connections to caring adults. Through partnerships with civic, corporate, and community supporters, we have developed a program that works with young people and addresses three important areas: Business Savvy: Building 21st century career development skills; having the ability to leverage opportunities with integrity and innovation, and learning to make good decisions through meaningful involvement and achieve results. Social Conscience: Valuing the impact an individual and enterprise can have on the community. We provide resources and training to help young people find their voice, take action, and make an impact on vital community issues. Collaborative Communication: Engaging others in an inclusive manner across teams, functions, and cultures; ability to leverage new and creative ways of communication. We focus on connecting participants with trainings, internships and leadership opportunities to develop financial literacy skills.
