Hospice volunteers help provide patients and families with invaluable compassionate care and support during the end-of-life process. Volunteers bring joy and companionship during difficult times. Volunteering can be as simple as just sitting and chatting with the patient. Some patients like to be read to. Others like to listen to music and reminisce. A volunteer could help the family with household chores like washing dishes, picking up groceries, or mowing the grass. They could even bring a support animal to visit! There are endless opportunities to help and support. Our dear patients have been without visitors for over two months now and are anxious to see new friendly faces!
Our agency is located in Lancaster, PA but our patients are located in Lancaster County, Lebanon County, and Dauphin county. Some are home patients, others live in care facilities. We work hard to make great matches between our volunteers and our patients! We also have opportunities for administrative volunteering within our office!

- We will work with your schedule! Most patient visits are around one hour. You can opt to volunteer as frequently or as infrequently as you're comfortable with! We prefer at least one volunteer visit per month, but that is flexible!
