Each school year DOROT welcomes approximately 100 high school students in ninth through twelfth grade who come to DOROT to experience the benefits of intergenerational relationships and hone their leadership skills. Volunteers and teens are provided the all-too-rare opportunity to be together and enjoy one another’s company. Join a teen-led discussion group, engage in small group creative arts programming, or, sign up for a weekly virtual chess match with a teen.

DOROT alleviates social isolation among the elderly and provides services to help them live independently as valued members of the community. We serve the Jewish and wider community, bringing the generations together in a mutually beneficial partnership of elders, volunteers and professionals. Our work provides an effective model for others.
