Position: Grant Writing Volunteer
Reports to: I AM YOU Operations Coordinator
Works with: Fundraising Volunteers, Volunteer Coordinator, Communications Coordinator
Location: REMOTE
OPPORTUNITY
Due to the challenges posed by the Covid19 pandemic, I AM YOU has been forced to put its field operations on hold and reorganized to provide Education services remotely. We have therefore introduced the possibility to support our work remotely from all over the world.
We are currently looking for Grant Writing Volunteers to support our administration in the effort to keep providing Non-Formal Education Programmes to Ritsona Camp residents.
JOB PURPOSE
A Grant Writing Volunteer is responsible, individually and with other members of the staff, for supporting I AM YOU from an administrative point of view as well as in the research and application for grants to help the organization in the provision of the important services on the ground in Ritsona.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write statements of intent for grant applications
- Maintain a database of potential grants, including managing application due dates and materials needed to complete the application
- Pull from existing data to strengthen applications
- General fundraising and networking support as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent written communication and research skills
- A highly organized individual, meticulous attention to detail
- Remote working experience
- Ability to commit to a minimum of five hours per week
WHAT WE OFFER
- Opportunity to learn about grant writing and funding research while expanding support for the important service I AM YOU offers on the ground in Ritsona
- The organization will act as a reference after a three month period
