NAMI Pierce County (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is seeking a volunteer Treasurer to serve on its Board of Directors. NAMI is the the largest grassroots organization in the county and is dedicated to providing support, education, advocacy, and public awareness so individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.

The Treasurer is responsible for managing the finances of the organization and handles all funds and provides an annual and monthly financial report. Familiarity with Quickbooks is most helpful. Interest in mental health issues and a commitment to make a difference in the community is needed. Most duties can be done from home as needed but attendance at a monthly board meeting (usually 3rd Sat) is required. A training period for several months will be provided by the current Treasurer; the term of office will run thru Dec 2022.
