Program Members needed This Summer for Non-Profit Theatre Programs for Homeless Children!
The Actors Theatre Workshop
The Actors Theatre Workshop (ATW), a non-profit theater and community center, needs volunteer Program Members to join its Summer season to work on its many programs including its virtual Builders of the New World (BNW) Program for homeless children living in NYC temporary housing facilities. The children’s program, which is going virtual this summer, culminates in our six-week program and meets every Tuesday June 30th - August 4th via Zoom, where trained program members mentor the children.
For decades, ATW has remained committed to running its award-winning programs while arts funding has dwindled by relying on people power. In our impressive 30th year, we are looking for professional, mature, diverse adults to share their skills and their compassion, and help these precious children.
The daily running of our organization, and every program, class and production is brought to life through clear and committed individuals joining together as a team to complete their actions!
Here are some of the ways you can use your many gifts as a member of a team at ATW:
Serve as a Program Mentor working with the children in their classes;
Work as a Program Volunteer using your professional skills to produce and deliver BNW on one or more of our Production Teams:
marketing and outreach,
fundraising and in-kind donations,
video and photo,
Or work with the children and use your professional skills.
Be a part of ATW’s non-profit programs and give these children a chance to develop while in isolation this summer!
