ROCKBlue is an international non-profit with a mission to provide water and sanitation to over 1 billion of the world’s poor that currently lack these basic, life giving, essentials. Founded in 2013 and a registered charity in the US and South Africa, ROCKBlue is currently in five countries, working with 18 towns/cities that provide water and sanitation to millions. Fundraising volunteer

ROCKBlue has an immediate opening for an experienced fundraising volunteer, working remotely/virtually. They must have at least 5 years of experience in a fundraising role for international non-profits/NGOs with a preference for experience in water, sanitation, or health. Fundraising experience must include that with individuals, foundations, and corporations. English fluency (verbal/written) is required. Experience with CRM software is preferred but not required. The scope of the assignment includes:

  • Receiving direction and reporting to the President/CEO
  • Flexibility to volunteer approximately 10 hrs./week
  • Weekly fundraising activity planning (and desired achievements) as well as progress reporting
  • Researching donor opportunities (interest of donor, key contact persons, etc.)
  • Relationship building, along with the President, with key donors
  • Assisting ROCKBlue’s Proposal Writer if necessary
  • Attendance at quarterly Fundraising Committee meetings (virtually)

Proposal Writer volunteer

ROCKBlue has an immediate opening for an experienced proposal writer volunteer, working remotely/virtually. He/she must have at least 5 years of experience in a lead proposal writing role for international non-profits/NGOs with a preference for experience in water, sanitation, or health. Proposal writing experience should include those written to foundations and corporations. English fluency (verbal/written) is required as well as proven attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines and high quality deliverables. The scope of work includes:

  • Taking direction and reporting to the President/CEO
  • Flexibility to volunteer approximately 10 hrs./week
  • Weekly activity planning (and desired achievements) as well as progress reporting
  • Relationship building, along with the President, with key donors
  • Attendance at quarterly Fundraising Committee meetings (virtually)
  • Lead the proposal writing/delivery efforts, including giving direction to others for support
