If you are interested in having a major impact on inequality and suffering in the world, ROCKBlue is offering opportunities to use your experience and heart to make a difference. ROCKBlue is an international non-profit with a mission to provide water and sanitation to over 1 billion of the world’s poor that currently lack these basic, life giving, essentials. Founded in 2013 and a registered charity in the US and South Africa, ROCKBlue is currently in five countries, working with 18 towns/cities that provide water and sanitation to millions. Besides helping others, you will learn a great deal, have room for advancement (a plus for resumes), and have fun working with a team of dedicated individuals! You will , earn how to use G Suite, Slack, Clockify and Trello tools which can be helpful when looking for full-time work. Finally, you will receive a Letter of Recommendation after 90 days of satisfactory work.
Proposal Writer volunteer
ROCKBlue has an immediate opening for an experienced proposal writer volunteer, working remotely/virtually. He/she must have experience in a lead proposal writing role for international non-profits/NGOs with a preference for experience in water, sanitation, or health. Proposal writing experience should include those written to foundations and corporations. English fluency (verbal/written) is required as well as proven attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines and high quality deliverables. The scope of work includes:
- Flexibility to volunteer approximately 10 hrs./week
- Weekly activity planning (and desired achievements) as well as progress reporting
- Relationship building, along with the President, with key donors
- Attendance at quarterly Fundraising Committee meetings (virtually)
- Lead the proposal writing/delivery efforts, including giving direction to others for support

ROCKBlue aims to solve the growing gap between reliable water supply and accelerating urban demand. We are a nonprofit that leverages a large network of highly experienced specialists. ROCKBlue focuses on strengthening the ability of water and sanitation utilities to provide these services to the poorest in cities and towns across the developing world.
ROCKBlue accomplishes this mission through respectful and mutually beneficial partnerships with both public utilities in the developing world and with the international donors and lenders supporting these utilities.
