Remote volunteers needed to support COVID-19 telephone outreach initiative to senior care facilities and nursing homes in Los Angeles County, California. Help bring premium music and entertainment performances into the lives of isolated senior care and nursing home residents during this difficult period. Senior Care Home Entertainment, a Los Angeles based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has created a one-hour, weekly, variety-style television series - Entertaining Older Folks - specifically for residents of senior care and nursing homes and delivered into their rooms to their TVs and tablets through local cable access television and internet streaming. No charges, no commitment, just uplifting entertainment for the enjoyment of senior care and nursing home residents. Volunteers will work from home, using their own phone and computer to reach out and contact senior care and nursing home facilities across Los Angeles county. This is an outreach initiative. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, Senior Care Home Entertainment sent premium, local musicians and entertainers into senior care facilities and nursing homes for live performances at no cost to the facilities or the residents. Now, with social distancing and quarantine the new "normal", Senior Care Home Entertainment is redirecting its mission with the COVID-19 Television Initiative to continue connecting our premium musicians, dancers, storytellers, magicians and a variety of entertainers with the residents of senior care facilities and nursing homes across Los Angeles County. Help us enrich the lives of our isolated senior care and nursing home residents during this trying period.
