SynYouth is a youth-led nonprofit that provides weekly online English classes to kids in Latin America, taught 1-on-1 by English-speaking high schoolers and college students. English is the world’s second language, spoken by 1 in 5 people globally! Learning English opens so many opportunities for these kids in their careers, education, and life in general. However, one of the biggest barriers to English learning in Latin America is the very low levels of English fluency among teachers--English high school and college volunteers (like you!) can help with that.
SynYouth has connected over a hundred tutors and students in online English classes across the world. Tutors are provided an easy-to-follow curriculum created by a professional ESL teacher, including straightforward grammar lessons, simple vocabulary lists, and engaging activities for you and the student.
