Volunteers are essential to our organization’s mission to provide the upmost experience to the students we serve and thus are an invaluable resource to TGR Foundation. Due to current conditions brought on by COVID-19, TGR Foundation has developed a virtual volunteer program to support TGR Learning Lab’s summer classes. The TGR Learning Lab is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to take part as inaugural members of the Virtual Volunteer Program at the TGR Learning Lab in Anaheim, CA. If you are interested in working with students virtually, enjoy working in a collaborative environment or want experience in an educational setting, this opportunity is perfect for you. To successfully follow stay-at-home orders amidst COVID-19, volunteers will partake in aiding class instruction and other duties through a digital format. Volunteers will assist instructors with their facilitation of learning through the digital platform Zoom, supervise students during breakout sessions and help instructors update absent students on missed assignments.

The Summer 2020 Program session will run during the month of July and volunteers will be expected to commit to at least 5 hours a week. Classes will cover STEM topics but volunteers are not expected to have prior knowledge of material. Due to the nature of this position, interested applicants must undergo a phone screening, a Zoom interview, a background check and an orientation that will aid them in being successful in their role. Virtual volunteers must also have internet access and a personal computer or device with a functioning camera and microphone. Interested individuals should submit an application to the Volunteer Coordinator, Jose Rivera,
