For a brief overview about our Outreach Alliance project, please read below:
The Rescue Mission has formed an Outreach Alliance to offer space for training and collaboration to groups and individuals doing outreach to those experiencing homelessness in Pierce County. Outreach Alliance holds quarterly meetings, which are an opportunity to gather with others doing similar work and learn from facilitators about topics including: Outreach 101, Trauma-Informed Care, Mental Health First Aid, De-Escalation Techniques, and more.
Our vision is that our coordinated efforts will result in a greater number of individuals on the streets being reached by relational outreach efforts. As a result, we hope that more of these individuals will connect with life-changing services and move off the streets, for good.

We help all people; including clients, volunteers, donors and staff, to become their best. We provide emergency services such as shelter and food to the homeless or hurting; offer self-sufficiency programs to help lift a person from poverty and break the chains of addiction; support prevention programs and share our Christian faith.
Without your gift of service, we are not able to accomplish the work we do. By volunteering, you are able to walk alongside those in need throughout our community and be a symbol of hope to the hurting individuals that are experiencing homelessness. Whether you are an individual, family or group, we would love to find a volunteer opportunity for you!
We'll work with your schedule.
