Rainforest Partnership (RP) is a non-profit headquartered in Austin, Texas, with team members in the US, Peru and elsewhere. We conserve and restore tropical rainforests by working with communities to develop sustainable livelihoods that empower and respect both people and nature.

RP is currently looking for an Engagement Manager to lead and execute donor engagement activities. This position is responsible for designing and executing donor engagement strategies and activities. The expected time commitment is a minimum of 20 hours per week. This position is an unpaid volunteer position with a possibility to be hired as an employee.

The Engagement Manager will work to continually connect our supporters with the impact they are making and coordinate engagement with all our partners. Engagement Manager works closely with the Marketing/Communications team to ensure a congruent message.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build, maintain and grow donor/supporter relationships
  • Creating and updating engagement strategies to match current times
  • Coordinating engagement initiatives with the projects and the communications teams
  • Scheduling and conducting email, social media, telephone communications with donors and supporters
  • Creating email and phone scripts for outreach
  • Manage, track and maintain relationships with our donors and partners using our Customer Relations software.
  • Supporting processes for donation tracking
  • Coordinating RP’s involvement in possible partner events, creating and presenting content in the events

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong interpersonal skills - genuinely interested in meeting new people and building relationships with them
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Able to compose compelling narratives and stories under time constraint (i.e. distilling text into concise + impactful statements.)
  • Adaptable and able to learn new concepts and processes quickly
  • Previous Development, Account Management, or Communications experience is a plus
  • Comfortable with Excel and Google Sheets
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • Adaptive in an evolving environment
