Rainforest Partnership (RP) is a non-profit based in Austin, Texas, with team members in the US and Peru. We conserve and restore tropical rainforests by working with communities to develop sustainable livelihoods that empower and respect both people and nature. We are an asset rich organization that is founded on the principles of partnership, innovation and entrepreneurship. RP is looking for a Strategic Partnership Manager to drive the development and deployment of these business-centered, drive the development and deployment of these business-centered, revenue generating partnerships . The expected time commitment is 20-40 hours per week. This position is an unpaid volunteer position with a possibility to be hired as an employee.

The Strategic Partnership Manager will work with the Leadership team to establish key relationships for Rainforest Partnership programs and projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall: Lead Rainforest Partnership’s development of innovative enterprise-driven partnerships
  • Design and deploy strategies on how to attract, develop and implement new enterprise-centric partnerships
  • Research prospects, identify key players and generate interest
  • Create dynamic packages and programs for new prospects
  • Work with Marketing and Engagement teams to close new sponsorships for RP
  • Manage deals from origination to contract execution in accordance with RP contract guidelines and policies; Liaise effectively with other departments in RP where other resources are needed in order to ensure seamless program execution and partnership development.
  • Generate new business status reports, trend analyses and revenue projections on a regular basis for sharing with RP Leadership.
  • Forecast, measure and report the results of various projects with partners.
  • Lead business meetings
  • Collaborate with RP management to align our internal goals with new and existing partner relationships
  • Keep a great ongoing relationships with current partners and offer new ways to grow the partnership
  • Ensure that the RP brand is represented in a way that reflects RP’s values and mission.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • The ideal candidate has at least 2-5 years of demonstrated success in business development/sales.
  • Demonstrated networking ability including across social networks including LinkedIn.
  • Must be able to proactively research, identify, create and close new business opportunities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • The primary focus of this position is to leverage all available internal and external resources to create sustainable partnerships.
  • Must have a track record of meeting and exceeding large revenue goals
  • Must have an entrepreneurial spirit and focus
  • Must be able to effectively leverage qualified leads, as well as their own network, to create unique partnership opportunities with Senior Executives and Fortune 500 corporations.
  • Have experience and expertise in developing comprehensive, mutually beneficial partnership proposals.
  • Must be able to effectively manage a sales process and create financial forecasting/reporting of key performance metrics.
  • Sales strategy, planning, and analysis skills are critical to performance success in this role.
  • Individual must be an independent, self-starter who has a history of working with little direction and turning conceptual direction into executed strategies.
  • Ability to build durable business relationships using socially connecting platforms and technologies.

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications or similar relevant field
