Like to be outside? Want to volunteer close to home?
Please join the Adopt-A-Park volunteer program with the City of San Jose! Volunteers are needed to adopt their local park. This is a long-term opportunity (1 year commitment) with just 8 hours of service requested, per month. Ideally, volunteering will be just a couple of hours per week, enhancing the look and safety of the park!
Tasks include:
Litter pick-up
Trimming plants
Raking leaves
Sweeping sidewalks/gutters
Cleaning picnic tables
Being the eyes and ears of the park!
Volunteers have true flexibility with scheduling their own volunteer time--the requested volunteer hours can be accomplished whenever it is convenient! There are no set-hours, which makes this volunteer opportunity easy to fit into a busy lifestyle!
All training is provided.
There is no fee for this volunteer opportunity.
This is a great family experience!
