Save lives and prevent injury by being a member of the Home Fire Campaign team. Specific roles could vary, including being a member of Home Visit teams to install smoke alarms and educate residents, conduct neighborhood canvassing, facilitate planning events, and more according to local program needs and structure.
This position is responsible for the tasks involved to implement the preparedness program including:
1. Support the annual preparedness goals, objectives, and regional/chapter plan for preparedness programming through participation in meetings, projects, and local preparedness activities;
2. Execute assigned projects and local preparedness activities according to the activities you are trained in Home Fire Campaign;
3. Serve clients and/or support Red Cross team members in providing residents with free smoke alarm installations and fire safety education; and
4. Complete tasks such as implementing preparedness activities, meeting with partners to build relationships, conducting inventory, and procuring or receiving necessary preparedness supplies.
