ORGANIZATION: World Medical Relief

World Medical Relief's annual gala is scheduled to take place on December 5, 2020. This year it will be completely virtual. It will a meaningful event that highlights the agency's amazing volunteers and community partners and the impact of our efforts to distribute humanitarian aid abroad and in Metro Detroit.

Considering the Covid-19 pandemic and the possibility that there will be another peak of illness in the fall, it was decided to change it into a virtual fundraising event. It is exciting to think that when we free ourselves from any geographic limitations, we might be able to maximize our reach, attendee participation and revenue. Participants all around the country and world can engage with the event from their home location.

The agency is looking for a tech and marketing/PR savvy person who would love to make this gala the best virtual event ever, based on number of people in attendance and money raised. While this is a virtual opportunity, we would prefer to work with volunteers from Metro Detroit. Since we will also make a lot of personal calls to sign people up to attend, good phone skills and a pleasant voice are a must.
