What It Is: An opportunity to support The World is Fun in developing and maintaining a solid foundation of volunteer staff members.

Team: Volunteer Leadership Program

What You'll Do: Our TWIF Leads are the amazing people that lead our groups of volunteers. This is the ideal role for someone who is looking to volunteer more, meet new people, and learn about all of the great volunteer opportunities that Seattle has to offer. The TWIF Leads role comes with access to our national Volunteer Leadership Program training so you will gain a certificate for your participation. Due to COVID-19, those entering the TWIF Leads program can work through the training online at their own pace and when our volunteer programs resume will lead six volunteer events to gain their certificate. Once you have received your certificate, you are welcome to remain on the TWIF Leads team and select the frequency and events that you would like to lead.

The World is Fun is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on a mission to get you involved.

Mission Statement

The World is Fun (TWIF) is dedicated to making volunteering fun & social for Seattle people, businesses & nonprofits by creating, promoting and expanding charitable events.

Description

We’re not your grandparents’ charitable club. We’re a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization here to make volunteering a fun and social experience for Seattle people, businesses, and nonprofits. We seek to banish the ol’ bake sale stereotype and get you excited about giving back to your community by broadening the scope of volunteerism and revamping existing charitable programs. Our mission is to remind you that volunteering is not a chore - it makes the world fun!

TWIF works within Seattle communities to create new opportunities for people to give back in a way that is social and philanthropic. We connect people to volunteer activities that fit each individual’s interests, passions, and busy schedules while introducing them to a new network of friends.
