About BLOOMING HEALTH FARMS

Location:

2116 16th St, Greeley, CO 80631, US

Mission Statement

To transform the Northern Colorado community through accessible nutrition, mental health support, education, and reduction of crime.

Description

Blooming Heath Farms is a start-up aquaponic farm in Northern Colorado. Founded in 2019, Blooming Health Farms exists to rehabilitate at-risk youth and provide fresh, local produce to relieve malnutrition in our communities. We employ at-risk youth to perform farm labor and participate in science-based mental health therapy while drawing a highly competitive paycheck. This model allows us to reduce criminal behavior by up to 95% through teaching valuable job skills and the implementation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

We are dedicated to educating and supporting our community and our highly qualified mental health team is comprised of professional counselors, therapists, and interns from local universities. We partner with colleges in the area to provide educational support for our youth participants to give them a leg up on finishing school and pursuing their dreams. In addition, we host community workshops to promote nutrition, scientific inquiry, and self sufficiency in Northern Colorado.

Located in a 200 square foot indoor farm in Greeley, CO, we plan to expand and serve dozens of at-risk youth while feeding thousands. Our practices are environmentally sustainable, requiring 90% less land and 97% less water than traditional agriculture, and we are implementing renewable resource technology to eliminate our carbon footprint and our burden to electrical infrastructure.
