Norfolk County RSVP seeks your help with the great need to collect blood and blood supplies in Norfolk County during COVID-19. Looking for volunteers to do one minimum 4-5 hour shift per month, with safety precautions in place at area Blood Drive locations.

Blood Drive Donor Ambassadors -
Responsibilities: Welcoming and greeting donors at local blood drives, assist with donor sign in and intake and/or assisting
donors in the Hospitality area.
Ensure that donors have all relevant information and that questions are answered appropriately.
Model positive customer service to Red Cross blood donors and the community.
Be available and punctual to the assigned volunteer schedule
Time Commitment: Minimum 1 shift/month. Blood drives are scheduled weekdays during morning and afternoon hours to 7:00pm.
NO WEEKEND SHIFTS AVAILABLE
Qualifications: Good customer service and communication skills
Ability to display professionalism and communicate with diverse populations.
Ability to read and speak English in an understandable manner.
Ability to represent the Red Cross to blood donors and support the Red Cross mission.
Comfortable with using technology.

Norfolk County RSVP has volunteer opportunities for people aged 55 & over in 28 cities and towns at over 50 volunteer sites. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring pre-release inmates, tutoring elementary school children, drivers for Veterans, meals on wheels and food pantires, friendly visiting, non-profit support services and many more! N.C. RSVP will find the volunteer opportunity that best fits your interests & schedule and impacts the needs that are most critical to our county's communities. N.C. RSVP provides mileage reimbursement, accident & liability insurance, an invitation to our annual recognition event, monthly newsletters, orientation & training.
