Our Honeycomb project team help deliver the very best volunteer events for youth and families. They are party hosts, teachers, and organizers. They love working with kids and don’t mind getting their hands dirty.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist Project Leaders in managing Honeycomb's quality volunteer programs
- Teach, direct and motivate kids and their families
- Help out with day-of logistics including set-up and break down.
- Minimum commitment - 1-2 projects/month
By volunteering with Honeycomb, you'll inspire families to spend quality time together helping others -while learning first-hand about important issues in Chicago’s communities. Honeycomb volunteers are cleaning up Chicago beaches, building nature trails in forest Preserves, and distributing food to hundreds of low-income neighbors in Uptown. Through these experiences, children learn teamwork, empathy and leadership - critical skills needed to build a bright future for our city.
Volunteering with Honeycomb is flexible! After attending an orientation and completing a background check, we’ll send you our calendar of upcoming projects. You can sign-up for any available project that meets your interests and schedule (usually 3-4 hours per project on Saturdays or Sundays).
If you think you would make a great addition to the Honeycomb hive, please apply to volunteer today:
