You can help recover excess food and get it on the tables of families who need it most! For the last year, the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina has successfully matched donations from various food donors to our network of agency partners. We are now looking for volunteers to help us expand our successful recovery of food throughout central and eastern North Carolina. and we need your help.
Volunteers are needed to transport food from donors to local agency partners. Volunteers will be trained in safe food transport practices and will be alerted to donation collection/delivery opportunities via their smartphone. Flexible schedules with some weekday availability is required. Volunteers will receive notifications through texts when a donation needs collecting, and volunteers can accept or decline each opportunity based on their availability. Volunteers will be asked to commit to a position through December 2020.
Express interest by contacting Jesslyn Hill at jhill@foodbankcenc.org
